St. Patrick’s Day with BC Celtic!

St. Patrick’s Day is tomorrow and what better way to spend it than with BC Celtic! So we’ll be hitting some spots around town ALL day.

Our evening events start with parading through Wegman’s at 5pm, then performances at Binghamton University at 6pm, South City Publick House at 7pm, and McGirk’s around 7:50pm (before the Reveler’s performance). Earlier in the day we’ll be making some small stops at the Doubletree and a local elementary school, then we’re over to the Colonial at 2pm and possibly other spots downtown. So we’ll be all over and have something for all ages. You can also follow our list of events over at

Until tomorrow…

NY Tartan Day Raffle

On April 9th, Broome County Celtic Pipes & Drums will be traveling to New York City to participate in the Tartan Day Parade! And we will be offering the opportunity for a lucky raffle winner and a guest to not only attend but participate in the parade with us! For those not familiar with Tartan Week and the Tartan Day parade, it is a great cultural celebration with a parade up 6th ave between 45th and 55th streets, right in the heart of Manhattan. Much fun will be had.  The winner and a guest will travel with the band, carry the BCCPD banner in front of the band for the parade, receive $100 to be spent on the trip and spend the day celebrating with the band in NYC.

Raffle tickets ($20) will be available at McGirk’s Irish Pub in Chenango Bridge, the Corner Drug Store and Gift Shop in Endicott, or you can send a direct message via the band Facebook page or website. Good luck!

First, we’d like to thank all of the sponsors, donation givers, players and volunteers that made our annual golf tournament a HUGE success. We couldn’t have done it without you all. Pictures are available on our Facebook page.

This weekend at the tournament, the band announced the “Halfway to St. Paddy’s Day Tour w/ Broome County Celtic Pipes & Drums” on Friday September 18th. We also released the initial list of locations and times (shown in flyer). Prepare to join us at a stop or two, or set up a safe plan to follow us for the whole tour. It’ll be the same fun you’ve come to enjoy with the St. Patrick’s Season Guinness Toast pub crawl, but with fewer stops which will allow for some additional time to enjoy each stop. The official event organizers made that call. So we bring you the “2015 Piping For Our Pubs” Tour…

Here are locations and times:
Wegman’s, Johnson City, NY – 4:45pm
Kelly’s Sports Bar, Endicott, NY – 5:15pm
Blind Tiger Pub, Johnson City, NY – 6pm
Giblin’s, Johnson City, NY – 7pm
Southside Yanni’s, Binghamton, NY – 8pm

Join us at one or all of these locations for a great time! We’re doing this for the community and those who look forward to touring with us every year. From monies collected, a donation will be made to Hockey4Hope ( on their March 28th event. Again, this is for the community and all you do to support this band. Thank you and see you on the tour!

Also stay tuned for more announcements of band events during and around Parade Day.
